![]() ![]() ![]() Mimicking the player, as well as any other ghost, does not change its ghost model. The Mimic may also imitate the player or The Mimic (itself), but in these cases, it will act as a "default" ghost and have no special abilities. If The Mimic mimics a Thaye, a fixed age is randomly selected, and it will mimic another ghost using its own timer instead of the Thaye's ageing timer. The Mimic will change the ghost type that it chooses to imitate every 30 seconds to 2 minutes, but cannot change during hunts. Additionally, it cannot copy other ghost types' guaranteed evidences on Nightmare/reduced evidence types custom difficulty, even if The Mimic has them as evidence. ![]() For example, it is able to copy the Obake's six-fingered handprints as The Mimic itself has Ultraviolet as evidence, but it cannot copy the Goryo's trait of only appearing on a Video Camera when interacting with a D.O.T.S Projector, as The Mimic does not have D.O.T.S. It may also copy features of evidence of mimicked ghost types, but not their evidences themselves. Poltergeist multithrow, Demon ability hunt) Various forms of special abilities (e.g.Interaction and ghost event rates and preferences.(Apparently most of the ghost event chances work on thirds, so a 67% chance for a shadow model, 67% chance for an airball etc.The Mimic is able to imitate any type of ghost, and inherit all of its features and abilities: Similarly, it won't always do an airball ghost event, and it won't always show as a shadow during a manifestation ghost event if it does one. The shadow model using a Music Box/Summoning Circle isn't guaranteed.Ok technically I'm talking about mechanics here, but unless you hold a lit candle going into the house and keep it lit 100% of the time, the Shade has a chance of performing a ghost event as long as your sanity dips below 100%, no matter how small. If the ghost steps out into a room with no players, it can interact through the wall and throw things that are in your room. The Shade CAN throw things that are in the same room as the player - it's where the ghost is that matters. They just can't hunt or perform interactions (except writing in the book).* Shades can still do ghost events when you're in the same room as them. When the ghost wants to perform an event it checks if there are players nearby, then it randomly (or based on distance, IDK which) chooses a ghost event target. On the other hand, all ghost events for all ghosts have a ghost event target, which is not chosen at the start of the contract. One is the hunt target, which is the one that the Banshee targets for hunts. Note: For clarity, there are two types of targets for this context. Everyone can hear the Banshee scream through the paramic.(But it does have a higher chance - not guaranteed - to perform the singing event) How long the ghost sings is purely based on whether the event target touches the ghost which makes it disappear prematurely. The Banshee isn't more likely to sing for longer periods.Similarly, the Banshee isn't going to be more active only when the target is nearby. If the hunt target is constantly the only one nearby, sure, it will ghost event target the hunt target, but if multiple people are near the ghost, it will ghost event target whoever it likes. The Banshee isn't more likely, code-wise, to target the hunt target for a ghost event. ![]()
